Back to School – The Consolidated Team’s 2017 Designations

In a recent post we discussed the continuing industry education of the professionals here at Consolidated (read it here). We know that our industry is always changing, and as a group we’re continually striving to stay ahead of the curve by attaining certifications that help us to better serve our clients.

So we’re especially proud of the accomplishments of the Consolidated team this year, beginning with Vice President Dan Workmeister, who recently achieved a Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation. The CRM program is a comprehensive and rigorous risk management curriculum consisting of five courses, each one encompassing 2-1/2 days of instruction and an accompanying exam.

Consolidated’s Keisha Noel recently achieved the Certified Insurance Counselors (CIC) designation, recognized since 1969 as a standard in practical, real-world education. Keisha successfully completed 20 hours of study and five corresponding examinations.

Lee Dixon, Maura Greco, Nelson Kern, Jessica Stone and Kali Dougherty all set aside two weeks to attend the Hartford School of Insurance and obtain their Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS) designation. Holders of the CLCS designation have demonstrated advanced coverage expertise and career professionalism, resulting in both industry and peer recognition.

The continuing education at Consolidated isn’t limited to the Property and Casualty team – in the Benefits Department, Paula Haney was awarded her Group Benefits Associate (GBA) designation, demonstrating advanced expertise in the field. The GBA certification requires completion of three courses of study, each accompanied by a 100-question examination. Successful candidates average 50 to 75 hours of study.

And Amanda Tousaw received her ACSRL (Accredited Customer Service Representative Life) designation, demonstrating a commitment to excellence in professionalism and customer service.  The Life/Health track requires one ethics class, two core agency courses, and three life and health courses along with exams at the end of each one.

We’re very proud of the busy Consolidated team for the time and effort they put into continual improvement and education!  Congratulations!
